About Dr. Raoufi

Dr. Rahim Raoufi is a board certified gastroenterologist and internist who is fellowship trained in Gastroenterology. He graduated from medical school in 1994 and after passing all qualification exams in United States, in 2003 embarked on the residency in Family Practice at East Tennessee State University.
After completion of his family practice residency in 2006 he pursued his great interest in the field of medicine and gastrointestinal disease. Dr. Raoufi spend the next three years at University of California San Francisco, Fresno where completed his internal medicine residency. Dr. Raoufi was awarded Outstanding Resident Teacher of the Year by the Dean. He subsequently completed his gastroenterology fellowship at University of California San Francisco, Fresno. He served as Chief Fellow during second and third year of his fellowship.
Dr. Raoufi is board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Gastroenterology. He’s a member of several professional societies including the Society of American College of Gastroenterologists, The American Medical Association (AMA). For the past 5 consecutive years Dr. Raoufi received the “Compassionate Doctor Recognition” and “Patient’s Choice” Award. In 2014 Dr. Raoufi was named among the Top 10 gastroenterologist in Metro Area.

Who am I?

I am a gastroenterologist with expertise in diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of gastrointestinal tract. I am board certified in internal medicine & Fellowship trained in Gastroenterology. I am both trained and certified for endoscopic procedure. I perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endo-procedures . While my main focus is endoluminal procedures such as endoscopy and ERCP, I practice all aspects of gastroenterology.

Practice Philosophy

I employ a simple rule in my practice. I treat my patient the very same way I expect another physician treat me or my family. I practice “one patient at the time” philosophy and also believe in the uniqueness needs of each patient.

Personal Life

I am married with two children. Most of my free time is spent with my family. Our kids attend local public school. My hobby is home improvement projects.
